Inga Kerber, Cliché of a landscape, Jungle, 2017

The subject of this book is the natural world in Vietnam and how it has been affected by human influences: it has been subject to wars, the exploitation of large stretches of land, the socialist revival, and protection schemes; it also includes the traditional environments of various ethnic groups and has been used as a projection surface for various concepts of nature. The book is an aspect of the work that came out of the author’s 2015 scholarship trip to Vietnam and was funded by the Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Sachsen.
