GU.PHO, Guiglia photo 2023

We are happy to take part to the second edition of GU.PHO, the festival dedicated to vernacular photography, this year will held during two weekends, September 8/9/10 and September 16/17, again at the Castle of Guiglia, in the province of Modena. The event involves nine Italian and international artists – Carolle Bénitah, Erik Kessels, Joachim Schmid, Baco About Photographs, Settimio Benedusi, Cristina Biagini, Marzio Govoni, Sergio Smerieri, Riccardo Zipoli – as well as us from Leporello and FOTO VIP from Modena during the opening weekend. The event, organized by the cultural association Mezaluna of Vignola led by Giampaolo Grandi, has the artistic direction of Sergio Smerieri, assisted by Giorgia Padovani and Marcello Coslovi, and is sponsored by the Municipality of Guiglia, the Pro Loco of Guiglia, the Unione Terre di Castelli and the Province of Modena. Rounding out the Festival will be a workshop held by Erik Kessels entitled Personality and Passion in Your Photographic Quest and six talks: The Photographs of Others curated by Joachim Schmid, The Perfect Amateur curated by Erik Kessels, Vernacular Photography curated by Sergio Smerieri, and the presentation of projects by Baco About Photographs, Carolle Bénitah and Riccardo Zipoli.

Leporello will be present with a nice selection of publications by the authors and publishers involved in the festival and with a number of beutiful new arrivals in bookstore, see you in Guglia!
