We are delighted to welcome the author of one of our favorite books and projects from last year, who will be spending an afternoon with us her ein Leporello. Come and enjoy a new display for L’Angolo di Franca wall.

Hermes/Unesco is an imaginary collection of archaeological objects born from the collision, mediated by artificial intelligence, of photographs of pieces belonging to the official UNESCO heritage. This encyclopedia of 999 images gives rise to a speculative interweaving of possible intersections between ancient civilizations that did not know how to meet and the potential influence that one could have had on the other. It also raises questions about possible drifts, as it projects an investigation into what place our memory will occupy in the future of synthetic images and what possible mnemonic relationship we will have with them. Are we handing over our library to artificial intelligence and will everything be mixed up? What will become of our memory? Will we be able to recognize ourselves in these combinations?
