Spazio Labo’ Photobook Club | Season 2 Episode 1. Photobooks and other books based on the themes of ‘Om/Mother:bring your book!

On November 24th, 2025, begins the second season of Spazio Labo’s Photobook Club!
The first episode of this new season starts with the photobook that inspired the exhibition currently on display in Spazio Labo’ gallery at Strada Maggiore 29: Om/Mother, a project by Belgian photographer Barbara Debeuckelaere in collaboration with the women of Tel Rumeida (Hebron, West Bank), published by Dutch publisher Eriskay Connection in 2024 and now in its second edition.

We would like to ask those attending the meeting on November 24 to bring a book with them—not necessarily a photo book!—based on the themes raised in ‘Om/Mother: Palestine, colonialism and apartheid, daily life under occupation, the role of women in contexts of male and military violence.

During the evening, we will discuss some of the photography books we chose and you brought in order to make the reading group as shared and participatory as possible.

Furthermore, besides finding a series of new titles in the Leporello bookshop corner of Spazio Labo’, visitors enjoy browse a special selection of photography books, essays, and fiction on the themes of the exhibition ‘Om/Mother’.
