Yann Gross and Arguiñe Escandón teamed up to follow the path of Charles Kroehle, a pioneering 19th century photographer who allegedly disappeared in the Peruvian Amazon. The book offers an unreal immersion in the dense vegetation of the jungle, structured by shamanic experiences as the authors develop an organic photographic process. Using both ancient and contemporary imagery, this book offers a dialogue between the distant and remote and exoticism in the quest to follow in Kroehle’s footsteps.
