“This book by Marco Lachi is a book on landscape, on the elements – anthropic and natural – that make it up, on the process that produces and creates it, on the feeling of perturbing belonging that it generates in the observer.

It is also a book about a landscape in particular and the testimony of a singular visual and existential experience: that of a territory that ideally and physically lies between the province and the rurality of the roads less travelled; where it is necessary to look in order to see, whether through the photographer’s device, or by borrowing the eyes and gestures of a portrayed passer-by; where it is necessary to see in order to recognise, to recognise oneself in it.
