Polyamory is the possibility of engaging in several affective relationships simultaneously with the consent of all the people involved. Lə two authorsə, from a clear transfeminist and queer perspective, explain how non-monogamies have the potential to challenge the organisation of our relational system, by ‘norm’ monogamy, which intersects with the other normative systems that dominate our lives, such as economic, political, and gender/sex. The model of polyamory they advocate is centred on mutual care, in opposition to the pervasive systems of competition in our society. This essay is the result of a collective journey of confrontation and struggle from below, against social stigmatisation and polyphobia, and against an assimilationist view of polyamory that would deputise its radical value.
