From December 8th, we are open every day, Monday to Saturday, from 11 am to 8 pm, with a lunch break between approximately 1.30 pm and 2.30 pm. On the 24th, we are open until 2 pm. We reopen on January 8th!

The term ‘sanpuru’ in Japanese indicates the faithful reproductions of dishes on a restaurant menu. From the shop windows, where they are exposed to the eyes of future and hungry customers, these fantastic imitations question us about the nature of the copy.

In a sequence that alternates snapshots with photographs taken with a large format camera, the book offers a reflection on photographic genres, in particular still life.

In the end, these food samples, perfect odorless copies, tell us a little about photographic practice.
