“Faith and gas” is the result of a foreigner’s look at Italy and some aspects of its culture (here faith and cars). With a pinch of irony, and a lot of tenderness.

It is also a photographic project that feeds a now long and well-developed tradition of documenting gasoline stations in series. A tradition initiated in 1963 by Ed Rusha.
