Exhibition opening Carlos Lalvay Estrada, IOSONOQUI

Carlos Lalvay Estrada, that we got to know for his PICA project, returns for the second time to exhibit at Leporello’s, with the latest step of an autobiographical journey where he works on identity through visual reflections on the space we occupy, playing with gesture and composition.

In this series of canvases made with mixed media, the Equadorean-born artist gives us back imaginary landscapes animated by colored dots, a simple and immediate way of identifying ourselves with space. “For a long time this indication (you are here) stimulated me and made me think about the ease in the graphics of maps of pointing to and occupying a space, like when with your finger on the map you imagine traveling everywhere with a gesture, pointing to X location.“
