Lou Delprat presents her publication Sex or Politics? in conversation with Natalie Ayoub. Selfpublished
Sex or Politics? is a publication that emerges from a participatory project centered around an anonymous, hour-long conversation between strangers. The process involved one person who poses a question while another (unknown to them) responds and offers a new question for someone else. This chain continues, creating a thread of spontaneous, unfiltered dialogue. The publication compiles these handwritten exchanges, preserving the individuality of each participant through their unique script, while keeping identities hidden. To mark the release of the publication, we will engage in a Question-Answer-Question activity inspired by the participatory project at the core of the work.
Lou Delprat is a visual artist whose work explores the interplay between materiality and identity. She works mostly with photography, film, sketching and time-based media. Based between Paris and Rome, Delprat is currently pursuing her postgraduate studies in Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti (NABA) majoring in Visual Arts and Curatorial Studies (MA).
