Eric Doeringer, Some Los Angeles Apartments, 2009

Artist Eric Doeringer revisits each of the locations featured in Ed Ruscha’s 1965 Some Los Angeles Apartments and finds that most of the original buildings are still standing, albeit with some architectural updates. As with his other homage to Ruscha, Real Estate Opportunities, Doeringer presents his photographic documentation using the same format, layout, and deadpan humor as his artistic predecessor.
