Palermo Publishing presents ALBUM 900, a new book by Italian artist Lucia Pescador (b. 1943), edited by Marta Sironi. Published in a limited, unbound edition of 700 copies, the book offers a fluid and intuitive journey through Pescador’s reinterpretation of 20th-century art, culture, and memory. Organized like a personal album, it blends fragments of her drawings, prints, and painted surfaces with found objects such as newspaper clippings, postcards, comics, and illustrations. The spineless format allows readers to extract and rearrange individual plates, inviting dynamic readings and original associations.

Active since 1965, after graduating from the Brera Academy, Pescador was a member of the Metamorphosis group (1977–1989) and has long explored the tension between Culture and Nature. A distinctive feature of her practice, seen in projects such as Inventario di fine secolo con la mano sinistra (Final Century Inventory with the Left Hand), is the copying of 20th-century works with the non-dominant left hand, challenging traditional academic representation. Represented by Galleria Apalazzo in Brescia since 2021, her recent solo exhibitions include Geometrie per Sonia Delaunay e Joseph Beuys (2021) and Africa per sentire dire e varia umanità (Africa through hearsay and varied humanity) (2023).
