In its great morphological, economic and cultural complexity, Italy is undergoing great changes. Exploitation of the territory, urbanization, depopulation, gentrification, sustainability and new models of economic development are complex processes underway and already the subject of study and investigation. The pandemic on the one hand has accelerated these macro trends, on the other hand has introduced new needs and brought to light critical issues to which it is still difficult to give a precise identity. This volume collects the work of the winners of the open call promoted by Sistema Festival Fotografia, within the project RESET. Sistema Festival Fotografia tells the story of contemporary society: Francesco Andreoli, Jean-Marc Caimi and Valentina Piccinni, Mattia Marzorati, Benedetta Donato, Mario Cucinella and Maurizio Carta. RESET is the first chapter of a necessary and ambitious project of analysis of contemporary Italy through photography, which aims to activate a critical thinking through which to reread the landscape, the territory and the society of our country.
