TWM Factory, Ultraqueer, 2022

“Ultraqueer. Expressioni artistiche metagender” is a multidisciplinary project by TWM Factory, which is part of Pride Month to celebrate artistic talents investigating the dimension of queerness. Sex positivity, the non-conforming body, gender expressivity and the aesthetics of the monstrous are the focal points of Ultraqueer’s research, in which works of photography, art, illustration and film dialogue with each other to question the binary categories of gender and sexual orientation. This book encompasses Ultraqueer’s experience in its entirety, from the artistic selection to the critical discourse that accompanies it, from the in-depth texts on the themes tackled to the archive material in the exhibition: over fifty magazines and posters from the 1970s to the early 2000s.
