There are about 50 films in which John William Ferrell has starred, in a span of time that opens in 1997 with a minor role, in Austin Powers – The Counterspy. Among these films it is difficult, almost impossible, to find a misstep. Every single part played by the actor is the result of targeted and precise choices that have since paid off, allowing him to always give superb performances. A unique career, a string of unique characters that have now become legendary: from Jacobim Mugatu in Zoolander to Big Earl in Starsky & Hutch, from Ron Burgundy in the two episodes of Anchorman to Cam Brady in Candidate by Surprise and Lars Erickssong in Eurovision Song Contest – The Fire Saga. Ferrell’s career is still to be defined, but it will undoubtedly still have many surprises in store, and he will still be working alongside some of the names that Ferrell himself helped to launch such as Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Vince Vaughn, the Owen brothers and Luke Wilson, and Zach Galifianakis.
