The photobook “The Space of Replacement” by artist Tasos Repouskos began as an exploration of liminal spaces—places that exist between the real and the symbolic, embodying a normality that remains invisible to the naked eye. The artist, who was initially inspired by the postmodern philosophy of Michel Foucault, soon realized that the project was evolving into something more personal. The book transformed into a depiction of self-discovery and the transition into adulthood, a process of deconstruction and reconstruction, intertwined with the persistent search for personal purpose in life.
