BLOW UP PRESS

Founded in 2012 by two enthusiasts from Warsaw (Poland), BLOW UP PRESS is a boutique publishing house focusing on photography, which aim is to transform unique visual lens-based projects into thoughts provoking photo and art books.  Also known for its periodical doc! photo magazine dedicated to the contemporary documentary photography. Since this year, it also organises the BUP Book Award.

All BUP publications follow the motto When the story matters.

During this Wednesday you will have an opportunity to hear and see the story behind  BLOW UP PRESS, BUP Book Award, go through its books and if lucky – to meet Antonina and Theodor, two cats working voluntarily within the BUP team. Follow this timetable so you don’t miss anything!

Aneta Kowalczyk, photo editor and book designer, awarded with the Third Prize at the 75th edition of the Picture of the Year International in Magazine Visual Editor of the Year category, lover of good film, wine and Italian cuisine;

Grzegorz Kosmala, head of the BUP and editor-in-chief of doc! photo magazine, the man who says ‘No’, idealist always working against the market, a big fan of independent cinema, southern heat and distant car rides.
