In Her Rooms explores the relationship between empathy, intimacy and contemporary representation of women. Moved by the intention of restoring to women their own nudity, untying the body from sexual objectification, the author has traveled the world immortalizing girls of different origins and social backgrounds, naked in their bedrooms. That intimate, magical, liberating place where the discovery of themselves takes place, as Virginia Woolf tells us in A Room of One’s Own. The result of this visual research is a series of portraits and diary pages written by the author herself, which give back all the complexity of a new global female feeling that challenges gender dichotomies and pre-established categories.
