This book, the result of research begun in Venice in the 1960s and conducted to the present day, presents for the first time a selection of the most important projects of the great photographer. The intent is to summarize the whole arc of an artistic experience, in the field of photography and art, unique in its kind and that Cresci has always kept alive, over the years, also through writings and theoretical essays and an intense organization of cultural events dedicated to young Italian art. Mario Cresci is among the most important Italian authors who have marked the history of photographic research in Italy and abroad, opening up photography itself to profitable intersections with the transversal knowledge of art and visual communication from the 1960s to the present. The images presented in chronological order give us back snippets of life, of artistic thought and conceptual evolutions that the artist has gone through in the long years of activity.
