The book is not simply a comparison of Pier Paolo Pasolini’s thought with that of Jacques Lacan, but stems from the idea that these two protagonists of 20th-century culture are inscribed in a converging symbolic constellation. Hence the critical references to other authors such as Deleuze and Guattari, Magatti, Negri, Recalcati and Zizek. The themes of Pasolinian anthropological mutation and Lacanian capitalist discourse describe and trace a horizon of ‘practices’ that dislocate the political at the level of subjectivity understood as singularity. The core of the book thus consists of the elaboration of a possible practice of subjectivation that is antagonistic to dominant thought.
