Jean-Christophe Bailly invites us to join the Animal Party as Francis Ponge  invited people to step out of the human rut to take a different look at objects, dedicating a brilliant collection of texts to the Animal Party,. In these essays, Bailly’s journey follows paths that only the vision and the animal existence know how to open us: crossing other ways of inhabiting the world that surrounds us, exploring the inextricable networks of the living and opening to thought new configurations.

With their life strategies, invisible hiding places, sounds, silences and traces of their irreducible otherness, the animals build secret passages through space and time that we share with them, towards the open space that Rilke spoke of. A system of hieroglyphics that has always questioned and amazed us, and from which we can learn a lot, if we break the encirclement of anthropocentrism and experience another access to meaning, contemplating the secrets of knowledge and animal life: a flight of wild geese, the passage of a lynx, the nocturnal dance of the fishes ¿ and emerges the wave of a ¿ power of manifestation that surrounds us and that no cage, no principle of evolution or ideology of the progress can really contain.
