Special bookstore opening hours from 11 am to 8 pm during the opening days of CHARTA: a photobook festival

Taking advantage of this event, Leporello will set up a special display in the bookstore dedicated to two publishers whose books we are never tired to flip through: BLOW UP PRESS and GRANI EDIZIONI

Charta is a contemporary photography festival dedicated to photobooks and independent publishing. The festival includes a visual journey in which exhibitions of photobooks decline a theme, creating an exhibition itinerary in different spaces in the heart of San Lorenzo.

The theme of this edition, Human x Nature, will be a reflection on the complex relationship that has always existed between us and nature.
The one hundred books on display in the festival’s expos will explore and decline this concept, and open a structured reflection on how this fragile synergy has evolved over time.

The circuit will also feature a screening of the Charta Award shortlist, the Hong Kong Dummy Award exhibition, and a Talk Gallery devoted to presentations of the most interesting publishing productions of recent years.

Completing the program is a schedule of Portfolio Reviews and a Book Market featuring some of the industry’s leading publishers.

The festival is conceived and produced by Yogurt, a curatorial platform that explores the new languages of contemporary photography.
